Gaya (Γαία, Greek)
Mazs puika spēlējās ar ūdeni un zīda lakatu. Viņš pacietīgi centās ar to pārklāt ūdens virsmu.
Diena bija vēsa un vējaina. “Tā ir sedziņa jūrai”, viņš teica. “Pilna ar vēl nepiepildītiem sapņiem”, es nodomāju. Vēlāk, kad mākslas darbs bija radīts, devu tam nosaukumu Gaja – Grieķu dievietes vārdu, kura saistībā ar leģendu radīja kalnus, jūru, zemi un dzīvību. [Katram darbam ir savs stāsts- šis ir par pirmo darbu.]
A little boy played with silken cloth and water. He tried to cover this liquid substance so patiently. The day was cool and cloudy. “It’s a blanket for the sea”, he said. “Full of yet unrealized dreams”, I said to myself. Later, when the artwork was made, I gave it the title Gaya – the name of the Greek Goddess who according to the legend created mountains, sea, earth, and life.
